They are looking for an exceptional small animal vet to join this close knit team on a permanent basis. Clients are at the heart of all they do and as such their reputation precedes them, meaning they are in the fortunate position to have closed their books 5 years ago, giving them a stable but varied caseload at their well equipped practice. You will be fully supported and mentored from day one. They currently runs 15 minute appointments but this can be extended to 20 mins if you would prefer. The practice focus is not to push you but allow you the time to proved exceptional service to clients and their pets.
The normal weekday weekday consults run until 5.30pm with no Saturday surgery. A typical day start with consults until 11am, a break with lunch, notice, calls etc and the afternoons can either be consults or surgery from 2-5pm. As clients have complete trust in the practice, they practice offers their own out of hours service. This would normally equate to one night per week, and weekends on a 1:4 rota. The on call is covered initially by an RVN and you are not required in practice unless the RVN calls you. If you need support with the sole charge aspect of the out of hours, rest assured you will not be left until you are comfortable. Initially you will cover the out of hours with a mentor for the first six months, or until you are ready to do them alone. Work/life balance is really important to them and they can be extremely flexible.
