Veterinary Surgeon Opportunity for certificate holder at 24-Hour Centre
Salary: Up to £65,000 per year
The Location:
Located on the East of Manchester, this thriving 24-hour centre is looking for a passionate veterinary surgeon to join our team as they expand to meet the growing demand for patient care. They are renowned for leadership in minimally invasive surgical techniques, and are continuing to build on these strong foundations. The clinic offers a perfect balance of city and rural life, with excellent links to Manchester, Liverpool and the stunning Pennines just a stone’s throw away.
The Opportunity:
They are looking for a talented veterinary surgeon, ideally with a Medicine or ECC certificate, to join a highly motivated and skilled team. However, they welcome any candidates eager to work in a practice that fosters clinical freedom and provides top-tier care to pets across the Manchester area. The state-of-the-art facilities include a large prep area, imaging suite, bespoke dog and cat wards, and a separate isolation area, ensuring the best possible care for every patient.
With a strong surgical reputation, they are also proud to offer endoscopy, ECG, digital x-ray, ultrasound, and keyhole surgery facilities. A collaborative approach with a dedicated OOH team ensures excellent handover and seamless patient care.
They’re committed to offering a work-life balance, with a 4-day week and no out-of-hours work. You’ll also have the option of either a 1:3 Saturday rota or 1:6 full weekends on site. They are flexible and can accommodate school-friendly hours or other flexible working arrangements.

Your Role:
As a key member of our team, you will:
•    Deliver exceptional clinical care to patients during consultations and procedures.
•    Provide clear, empathetic updates to clients.
•    Maintain professional excellence, ensuring compliance with regulatory and practice standards.
•    Create accurate, tailored care plans with clear cost estimates.
•    Support, mentor, and develop your team, helping to maximize their potential.
•    Ensure smooth handovers for patients requiring out-of-hours care.
•    Share best practices across the Medivet community to promote continuous learning and growth.
Your Skills and Experience:
•    RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon.
•    Proven experience in delivering outstanding care to patients and clients.
•    Strong team player with the ability to demonstrate clinical leadership.
•    Experience in supporting nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures to enhance clinic efficiency.
•    Adept at using coaching and influencing skills to foster a positive and productive clinical culture.
