Our client based to Ipswich is looking for an enthusiastic and friendly Small Animal Vet to join their team.

Our client is a long-established veterinary practice, proudly serving the local community for over 100 years. The main branch is based in a historic Suffolk market town, surrounded by beautiful countryside. In contrast, the second branch sits near a pretty market town, offering easy access to the scenic Suffolk and North Essex coastline. Both locations are within 20 minutes of Ipswich and Colchester and London is a 60-minute journey from the nearby train station.

The main site is located in a beautiful Grade 2 listed building that has been refurbished to create a modern clinical environment, while retaining its historic charm. The branch offers a spacious and purpose-built facility with all the latest equipment, including digital X-rays, video endoscopy, multiparameter monitoring, and a class IV therapeutic laser. Both sites are RCVS GP status accredited, cat-friendly, and committed to staff development as Nurse Training practices.

The combined clinical team comprises 15 Veterinary Surgeons (including part-time), 15 RVNs and 2 SVNs across both branches. The main site benefits from the expertise of an Advanced Practitioner in Diagnostic Imaging and an Orthopaedic Surgeon, with close collaboration between the branches. They take pride in fostering a supportive, professional, and friendly work environment, where personal and professional development is actively encouraged.

The ideal candidate will be a motivated and enthusiastic veterinary surgeon who shares their values and commitment to high-quality patient care. They are open to candidates at any stage of their career and can tailor the role to suit your passions, whether that’s surgery or a consult only role. The role includes 1 in 3 Saturday mornings but no out-of-hours duties.
For those interested in further development, they actively encourage and support vets in pursuing their own areas of interest, including funding and study leave for certificates.
