Are you a dedicated and compassionate veterinary professional looking for an exciting opportunity? My client has a practice based in Woolwich, established in April 2000, which is a thriving small animal practice specializing in the care of dogs, cats, and some guinea pigs and rabbits. They deliver exceptional veterinary services with state-of-the-art facilities, including on-site procedures, CR radiography, dental radiography, endoscopy/bronchoscopy, ultrasound, and Idexx analysers.
Located in a residential area with a solid reputation built on client recommendations, the practice sees a busy caseload, examining 30-40 patients on average per day. They are RCVS-accredited and operate as a nurse training center, ensuring high standards of care and professional development for staff. Out-of-hours care is handled by Vets Now in Sidcup, allowing the team a good work-life balance.
What’s on Offer:
• A 4-day working week (8:30 am to 6:30 pm) with Saturday mornings on a rota basis.
• No work on Sundays or bank holidays.
• A generous salary, dependent on experience.
• CPD opportunities with an allocated day and budget (pro-rata).
Key Responsibilities:
• Providing high-quality veterinary care, from diagnosing and treating illnesses to conducting surgeries and delivering exceptional client service.
• Leading and motivating the team with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Assisting in cost-effective practice management and participating in staff training.
• Engaging in clinical governance, case discussions, and attending CPD activities.
• Participation in community events when needed (advance notice will be provided).
Requirements:
• Fully qualified and registered with the RCVS.
• Compliance with the RCVS Code of Professional Conduct.
• Willingness to take on sole charge duties as needed.
