Our clients hospital based near Bridgwater have a vacancy for a full time veterinary to join their team, however they are flexible and can consider part time applications.

Due to exciting expansion, they are looking to grow their wonderful team. This is a well-established team who are looking for a friendly and approachable team player to join them.  Ideally, they are looking for someone with experience this is a teaching hospital and cater to new graduates. The team really are everything and so it is very important that as they get busier, they neither want to compromise on patient care or burn out the current staff. Therefore, they are looking to welcome an additional Vet to the team to assist with this, hopefully that’s where you come in.

Ideally this is a full time role but the client is open to consider part time hours for the right candidate.  Full-time is 40 hours a week (with weekends worked is a 36-hour week) this will include consult days, theatre days, in patient shifts and a day out at a nearby branch surgery. Working 4-day week with the same day off in the week if preferred.  Weekends are worked on a rota basis between the full-time vets (1:6 full weekend, 1:6 half weekend- which may become more diluted as the team grows.  There are no OOH as they run their own dedicated out of hours service for the area and no Bank holidays.

The client is open to tailoring the role to your interests and would be keen to offer a consult only role if that would be desirable.

  • Dental suite and x-ray
  • Chemotherapy and cancer treatments
  • Laparoscopic surgical equipment
  • Orthopaedic equipment
  • Class 4 laser therapy
  • Full lab including biochem, haematology, electrolyte and hormone level testing
  • Full intensive care facilities
Salary for this position is from £45 - £55k pa DOE.
