The practice has recently diversified its service offering by employing one of only 37 UK advanced practitioners in small animal dermatology. The senior veterinary surgeon supports an orthopaedic caseload. Other areas of interest supported by the extensive internal team include diagnostic imaging and internal medicine. If you have a curiosity for any of these disciplines, they would be happy to support your development in these areas. The Head RVN has been at the clinic since 2012, the Senior RVN since 2021 and the RVN since 2022. You will be joining another existing Vet who qualified in 2016 and the dermatologist who qualified in 2014.
This is a fully air-conditioned surgery, RCVS accredited and purpose-built to industry-leading standards. Separate dog, cat, and exotic wards: Ensuring the comfort and care of all their patients. There are state of the art facilities, with 3 consult rooms, a large treatment room area, digital x-ray, ultrasound and Imagyst cytology and capnography. There are 3-4 scheduled admin breaks throughout each day to make sure you have the time to catch up with any notes or call-backs.
The client is looking for either full or part time candidates and is open to candidates to work any hours on any days. They would also consider vets who want a role with no weekend or out of hours work! They are open to applications from either couples, surgical vets looking for a high surgical caseload or medical vets who are looking for a varied and diverse caseload to allow them to continue to develop their interests.
More important is being passionate about your ongoing development and learning and the providing exceptional care to clients and their pets. The ideal candidates are vets who are still passionate about their career and put client care at the forefront of what they do and are looking for a practice who have the same ethos.
The client is now looking to expand their services and expertise, so whatever your interest they are keen to hear form you. You must be confident with the day to day of being a vet . You must be an exceptional communicator who will convey your passion for delivering the best care for your clients and patients but also a supportive and motivated team player who leads from the front.
The standard full time role would be a 3-day working week, 1 in 4 Saturdays, 9am - 3pm, with no out of hours ensuring you have plenty of weekends off. Our client is not interested if you are jaded and no longer passionate about veterinary care, they are looking for candidates who are still motivated, driven and enthusiastic about what they do but would like to join a market leading clinic, working a 3 day week. As you would expect a 3 day week with a salary of up to £80k pa will only attract the highest caliber of candidates.
- 28 days holiday (rising to 33 days after 2 years)
- CPD allowance open to discussion with 3 days paid attendance. Certificates considered – especially ophthalmology, surgery, internal medicine and dentistry.
