Based in Sheffield, this client has Tier 2 status, and are currently looking for a small animal vet to work with a daily caseload of exotics, a normal busy day would provide upwards of 50% exotic caseload with the opportunity to grow this alongside another 3 exotic specialists offering referral with exotic surgery and ward facilities as well as specialist kit to deal with this. There would be other routine GP work to top up the day, so you must be competent to deal with this too.
They have 2 sites, although you would primarily be based in one site, both fully functioning with theatre and diagnostic equipment, with a full scope tower for rigid scopes, they offer laparoscope procedures, have laser surgery, cryosurgery, oncology and chemotherapy.
With a varied caseload in other species they are happy to support other interests and are hoping to attract an experienced team member who is happy to work in first opinion, but with an advanced qualification in exotic practice, however they will be more than happy to support and develop another specialism, through both funding, marketing and growing caseload.
They work a 4 day week with a set day off, 1:6 evenings up till 10pm and 1:6 weekends with time off the following Friday and half day Monday to give a long weekend.
Salary and CPD support is generous dependent on experience
