Our client is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to be based at their clinic near Gateshead.  This small consulting branch with a lovely, experienced reception team and there is an experienced nurse to support you. Between consulting sessions, you will travel to the nearby operating site, which is well equipped with dental suite including dental x-ray, radiography, ultrasonography, operating theatre, laboratory and separate cat and dog ward.

The group was established in 1975 and they have 15 branches across Tyne and Wear, Durham and Northumberland which are supported by the main Tier 3 RCVS hospital in Newcastle Upon Tyne. They are proud to say that they have achieved Accredited Practice status and ISFM gold status.  You can expect case continuity, working with people who are encouraging, fun and love something nice for lunch. Many of the vets have post graduate certificates or are working towards them and they enjoy working collaboratively across all the branches to share knowledge. There is a great benefits package and potential for career progression.  Certificates and further learning are encouraged and funded.

This is a full-time (flexible/part-time options considered), working 4 days per week and 1 in 4 Saturdays.

Further afield the beautiful coastline and rugged countryside can be enjoyed. There are great travel links by road, rail and bus and Newcastle Airport is less than 8 miles from the city centre.
