Our clients large and established practice in Derby, is looking for an experienced and motived Senior/Head Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.

The clinic has 4 consult rooms, separate cattery, kennel and isolation wards, a dedicated x-ray and ultrasound room, large theatre and prep room, and an in-house laboratory. There is an established client base and the team is passionate about providing the best standard of care to both pet and client. The practice offers a full range of first opinion veterinary services including orthopaedic work and endeavour to create a “fear free” environment for all patients. The team has 3 veterinary surgeons, working alongside 6 nurses and 6 receptionists. The practice has excellent transport links, including the M1 and a direct train to London and there is also the lovely Peak District National Park nearby.

You will be a key member of the management team and have the opportunity to work closely with the Practice Principal to contribute to the management, organisational and financial performance of the practice. You will also have the opportunity to be a part of shaping the future for this RCVS accredited practice in collaboration with the experienced leadership team (previous leadership experience is desirable, but not essential as support will be provided).

The client is open to both full and part time applicants. Typically, the full-time role is working 40 hours Monday to Friday between 8am-7:30pm, with Saturday availability (average of 1:3) 9am-12pm on a rota basis (you gain time off in lieu for working Saturdays). There is no OOH work required. The client is flexible and are open to discuss a rota pattern that would suit you.  Salary up to £80,000 DOE, a £5,000 Welcome Bonus and £5,000 Relocation Allowance (subject to eligibility).
