Our client’s small animal Veterinary Hospital is situated just 30 minutes south of Bristol. They are now looking for a Night Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them.
The practice has been established for 20 years and is an integral part of the community. The hospital is in the area with a team of vets and qualified nurses who are available 24/7 with round the clock on-site care. Amongst the team there is a certificate holder in ECC and they have vets at various stages of certificates in medicine, exotics and surgery. They offer a high standard of patient care in a clean and professional working environment and they are proud to have consistently achieved Tier 3 Hospital Status.
The practice is well equipped with various diagnostic and clinical tools, including laparoscopy, endoscopy, ultrasonography, digital radiography (including dental radiography), in-house laboratory, multi-parameter monitoring equipment, and much more. They have been awarded Gold in the ICC cat friendly clinic awards and the hospital has separate cat and dog waiting rooms for clients, separate inpatient wards for cats / dogs / isolation, and dedicated consulting times during the week for cat-only appointments.
It’s really important to the whole of the team that no one feels overworked, breaks are taken, and that staff get to leave on time. They are an incredibly friendly and supportive bunch, so they want someone that will fit in and enjoy caring for their colleagues as well as their patients. Out of work they enjoy dog walks, pub trips, quizzes, and everything in between.
A typical working pattern is to work 1 week on and 1 week off but other shift patterns and part time roles can be discussed. This gives the candidate the opportunity to work alongside the amazing team seeing a varied caseload and also the chance to be involved with emergency and critical care cases. The ideal candidate will be competent in all routine nursing and be confident working alone as well as part of a team. You will be an enthusiastic and caring individual who strives to work to the highest standard of care. Salary is up to £34k pa DOE, plus a relocation allowance of up to £5k and a £2.5k welcome bonus.
