Our clients’ practice has been established since 1921, they have an excellent reputation within the local community. They are now looking for a small animal vet to join them.
The practice has 5 consulting rooms, dental x-ray, ECG and laparoscopic equipment. The practice is a very desirable place to work, with some of the best views, an incredibly spacious waiting room, large meeting room, and a great cafe within the agricultural centre adjacent to them. Located in a rural location on the outskirts of the small market town of Strathaven in South Lanarkshire. Strathaven is a historic market town located close to the River Avon which was granted Royal Burgh status in 1450. The town boasts several local attractions, such as Strathaven Castle, Strathaven Park, Air Field and Golf Club and has a great community spirit with excellent schools.
This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours over 4 or 5 days per week, however, they would consider part-time. There will be a requirement for 1 in 4 Saturday morning shifts. Out-of-hours is covered by Vets Now.
They have a large, small animal team, comprising a Clinical Director, 7 Vets, 8 Registered Veterinary Nurses/Veterinary Care Assistants and 6 Receptionists. They take part in the annual Strathaven raft race and this year have three rafts taking part- with some team members electing to get wet and others preferring to support from dry land!
Salary is up to £62k pa DOE and there is a relocation allowance of up to £2k if required.
