Our client has six successful clinics in the Stevenage area and are now looking for a confident and experienced Small Animal Vet to join the team.
The team is made up of a team of 8 experienced Veterinary Surgeons, 8 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 4 Student Veterinary Nurses and 11 Receptionists. The clinic director is well known and respected in the local area, having owned the practice since 1985. The team of experienced and very capable Veterinary Surgeons and Veterinary Nurses aim to provide the highest quality of care for their client’s pets. CPD is highly encouraged, for example, one of the vets is doing a laparoscopic course with the RVC shortly and one of the RVN is doing a certificate in nursing.
Your typical week would include mornings and afternoons made up of consultations. After consultations, the rest of your day will be spent liaising with the inpatients and the owners regarding further work ups required or you will be on theatre duties and will complete the ops booked in for that day. This position will be at one of the branches and is mainly sole charge with close links and time at the main hospital, you must be experienced and self-sufficient.
This is a full-time permanent role working 40 hours over 4 days per week. There will be 1 Saturday morning involved every other week. There is no out of hours with this role.
As this is a branch role with a lot of sole charge work the package reflects this responsibility. Salary up to £85,000 DOE plus a welcome bonus up to £5,000 and relocation allowance up to £5,000
The clinics have a high standard equipment includes the latest in Digital Radiography technology, High-speed Colour Doppler Ultrasound scanners, Digital endoscopy, High-powered Dental Scalers and Polishers, ECG & Anaesthetic monitoring equipment.
