Our client is a purpose-built practice with excellent facilities located on the edge of the beautiful city of Ely, with easy links to London, Cambridge, many airports and the North Norfolk coast.
Due to the continued success and growth of the practice the client is now looking for a full time Farm and Equine vet to join their team. They have superb equipment for carrying out first class veterinary care of both equines and farm animals. The currently have a very strong team ethos and thrive on supporting each other, learning new skills to develop themselves. This is a 9 vet team with a certificate holder (Cert EP) and 2 other vets currently enrolled for certificates which the practice actively encourage. They have two excellent nurses supporting the vet team. They also have close links with the local Stockman's Club and the equine practices in Newmarket, which offer interesting CPD. There is a good work-life balance, enabling the vets to pursue other interests, have decent time to look after young families, and relax, whilst enjoying clinical work.
The day starts with a vets’ team meeting, followed by calls throughout the day - mostly ambulatory but with good clinic facilities and equipment for both farm and equine inpatients. All the vets have iPhones and iPads for communication with clients and the awesome office staff. There is an interesting variety of cases across all farm and equine disciplines, and encourage vets to follow up their own cases, providing support with a senior vet where beneficial.
The ideal candidate will be a team player with a desire to learn in a supportive environment - ideally with some experience but this is not essential for the right candidate.
Salary is up to £60k pa DOE and there is also a relocation allowance of up to £5k if required.
