Veterinary Surgeon - Flexible, Surgically Biased Role - Up to £80,000 DOE, FTE

On Offer:
• Salary: Up to £80,000 DOE, FTE
• Flexible Hours: Shorter hours to fit around your commitments
• Surgical Bias: Spend up to 3 days a week in surgery (if desired)
• Supportive Team: Work with 6 vets, 10 RVNs, 6 SVNs, and a dedicated receptionist team
• Work-Life Balance: Only 1:4 Saturdays (possible sole charge), no Sundays, no OOH or Bank Holidays
• Professional Growth: Fully funded CPD, opportunities to pursue certificates, and sponsorship support for overseas vets
They are a well-established, award-winning general practice led by Practice Owners with two practices based in Sunderland, who are proud of their excellent standards of patient care and equally committed to ensuring the team feels valued and supported. The veterinary team includes Certificate holders in Medicine, Ophthalmology, and Dermatology, with close ties to specialists in Surgery, Ultrasonography, and Cardiology.
They offer a varied caseload with clinical freedom and actively encourage gold-standard practices. The nursing team is highly skilled, with post-VN qualifications in areas like Emergency & Critical Care, Infection Control, and Feline Friendly Nursing. They also hold the ISFM and RAW silver awards
Located near the stunning North East coastline, the practices are easily accessible, with excellent transport links.
About You: They are looking for a confident surgeon or someone who enjoys a mix of surgery and consultations. Whether you're looking for flexible hours, surgical opportunities, or a combination of both. The Saturday rota is just 1:4, with no Sundays or OOH, and They’re happy to discuss your ideal working pattern.
