Our client has two very well-established surgeries in the Lincolnshire market towns near Spalding, both of which have a loyal client base of well over 20 years. They are now looking for a Full or Part Time Small Animal Vet to join the team.

The clinics are situated close to the historic town of Stamford where you can visit Burghley House, Burghley Horse Trials, or Rutland Water and Peterborough is approximately half an hour away with direct train lines into London.  Both practices are equipped with digital radiography (recently purchased and upgraded to DR system), ultrasounds, endoscope, and in-house blood testing equipment. There are good-sized theatres and consult rooms for the varied first opinion cases.

There’s a friendly team comprising of 3 Veterinary Surgeons, 4 experienced Registered Veterinary Nurses, 3 Nursing Assistants, and a full team of Receptionists. This is a very encouraging team who are always willing to step in and work together in times of need and they work hard to provide the highest standards in client and animal care. The Vets will always talk through all options of care with clients to ensure they are making the most informed choices and they work closely with various referral practices to be able to offer that option if required.

They are looking for an enthusiastic, empathetic, and skilled Vet to join this small yet busy team. The successful candidate will be confident in all first opinion duties and comfortable with sole charge on occasion. You will be joining a well-established team of 3 Veterinary Surgeons; the role is hugely varied and will include consults and operating daily and caring for their very loyal and friendly client base. This position is split over two sites, with 75% of your time spent in one location, however this is negotiable to a certain extent depending on your requirements and personal circumstances.  You should have good communication skills and be able to listen to both your team and your clients. Animal care should be at the forefront of your mind.

They are in the fortunate position to be able to offer a mix of rotas to accommodate all working patterns including working mums and dads with a school friendly rota. For example their full time rota is 40 hours per week across 4 days, with 1:5 Saturdays 8:30am – 12pm. No bank holiday or out-of-hours are involved as we are covered by VetsNow.

The salary will be up to £75,000 depending on experience, a welcome bonus of up to £5,000 and a relocation allowance of up to £5k if required.
