This is a rare opportunity to work in a cat-only clinic, offering a calm, feline-focused environment in a charming building with excellent facilities .Our client is currently recruiting for a part-time Veterinary Surgeon with a surgical bias to join our dedicated cat clinic in Cardiff
 Ideally you will be a vet with strong surgical skills and confidence in a range of routine soft tissue procedures. You should be fully competent and confident performing surgeries such as neutering, caesarean sections, exploratory laparotomy, enterotomy/enterectomy, cystotomy, thyroidectomy, pinnectomy, enucleation, entropion correction, anal sacculectomy, and lumpectomy. If you're passionate about surgery and enjoy working with cats, this role is an ideal match.
You’ll be joining a small and supportive team, which includes two experienced Veterinary Surgeons, a HRVN, an RVN, and two receptionists. The practice is well-respected within the local community and offers a warm, collaborative working atmosphere.
They are extremely well-equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and surgical tools, including a Digital X-ray, Adaptix 3D X-ray for orthopaedics and dental imaging, Ultrasound with pulsed wave and colour Doppler, multi-parameter monitoring, cryotherapy, radioactive iodine unit, IDEXX lab suite, Sedivue urine analyser, incubator, oxygen unit, and a Burtons VETair2 Dental Unit.
This position is part-time, working 18 hours per week across two days (8:30am – 6:30pm), with a pro rata salary of £29,250 – £31,500 (equivalent to £65,000 – £70,000 FTE).
