The practice is surrounded by open fields and glorious countryside. Located just off the A120, a 15-minute car journey will take you to Stansted Airport and there are have direct train services into the City of London. The practice facilities include digital radiography, dental, ultrasonography and investigating laparoscopy.
The role will include:
- To manage all aspects of the nursing team to ensure excellent teamwork and the highest level of clinical care
- Supporting the Veterinary Surgeons with consultations and procedures
- Nursing hospitalised and day patients
- Managing nurse rota's
- Ensure all stock is checked and rotated monthly and organise stock takes biannually
- Infection control
- Monitor staff performance & coordinate biannual appraisals
- Organise/attend meetings
- Update all current veterinary legislation and update all H&S risk assessments
- Make sure that all equipment maintenance and servicing is adhered to
The client offers flexible working hours - ideally 5 days but can accommodate 4 days. The shifts will be between 8:00am-7:00pm. There will be 1:6 Saturday mornings from 8:00am-1:00pm with no out of hours. By far the best part about working for them, is getting to be part of the amazing team and 4 Vet group. The Vets are supported by 6 Registered Veterinary Nurses who have many years of experience and a wealth of knowledge, there are also 2 Student Veterinary Nurses, a Practice Manager, Head Receptionist and 6 Reception team members so you are never short of support! Across the team, there is a surgical certificate holder, and others currently undertaking certificates including dermatology.
Salary is up to £35k DOE and there is a relocation allowance of up to £1k if required.
